SHIFT is a half-hour documentary about the indigenous youth from Carcross, Yukon who have spent the past 10 years converting traditional trails around their town in to a world-class mountain biking destination -- and transforming their community and themselves along the way.
Riding on Montana Mountain is free, but building trails and running a trail crew is not. Each year, the Carcross Tagish First Nation finds funding to run the Singletrack to Success (S2S) Program. But each year there are always question marks. Will the project get approved? Will there be enough money? Will funding be in place in time? What happens if there are extra costs? If you enjoy riding the trails on Montana Mountain or if you just think this program is worthy of your support, we have set up a fund through the Sport Yukon Foundation to receive donations to the Singletrack to Success program.
Since we released "SHIFT" in June, 2016 we have raised almost $12,000 for the S2S Program. This money has helped keep these kids building trails and riding bikes. Thank you to everyone who has donated to the cause.
